This fly fishing adventure is meant to be fun, exciting and something new for all fly anglers.  This trip is best catered towards a group of two anglers.

 

Most of our fishing will be done nearshore in the Gulf of Mexico, as long as weather conditions allow.  As far as what species you can expect to catch, there will be a variety we will have a chance at.

Our first priority will be fishing reefs and wrecks, chumming up Red Snappers, Amberjacks, Trigger Fish, anything and everything that lives on a reef to the surface. After that we will have a shot at ladyfish, bluefish, bonita, redfish and more.  Read on to learn more!

After chumming the reefs, another option for Fly Fishing Destin Florida in the summer is to chase massive schools of false Albacores. As you can see in the video above, Bonitos on a 10 weight is hands down my favorite fish on the fly rod. They are a hard pulling, fast, beautiful fish and a fly fishing accomplishment.


We also will hit the beach in search of lady fish, blue fish and schools for redfish. This type of fly fishing is great for breaking out the 8 weight and typically in the summertime our beaches provide an abundance of all three species.


Get ready for your Destin Florida fly fishing adventure. Make sure to practice your double hall cast – it doesn’t have to be pretty and perfect.. but when its time to put the fly in front of these fish, you’ll be glad you practiced!


This trip is special because I love to fly fish, have fun on the water, check off a few fly accomplishments and MOST IMPORTANTLY have FUN and make new memories.

What’s included:

Though we encourage our anglers to bring their own fly rods for comfort and ease of use, we can provide all the equipment needed for this trip. If you choose to bring your own rod, we will have the necessary flies available.

You should bring a hat, sunscreen, a UV Protectant shirt and an iPhone.. There are going to be a lot of laughs and smiles to be captured!
